The 1886 Sprint Triathlon (run by the Manx Tri Club) is an individual event and team relay.

Swim is in Ramsey Pool with the option* for individual entrants of 400 metre (16 lengths) or 750 metre (30 lengths) distances.

*For individual event competitors who are 14 years old at the time of the event (15 by 31.12.24) OR 15 years years old at the time of the event (16 by 31.12.24) then they are to enter the 400 metre swim category (who will compete on on a "non-competitive basis").

For all other individual competitors 400 or 750 metre swim is optional. 400 metre swim is very much recommended for first time triathletes/less confident swimmers (who will compete on on a "non-competitive basis").

For teams swim distance is 750 metres for all competitors.

Bike is the same distance for all entrants at 20k (12.4 miles) 1 lap course following the coast road out to Bride and then back to Ramsey.

This year we are very pleased to welcome competitors who would prefer to complete the bike section on an electric type bike. Electric bikes are permitted as individual entries only under the 400 metre swim category (competing on a 'non-competitive basis).

Run is also the same distance for all at 5k (3.1 miles) and is around Mooragh Park and then down Mooragh Promenade to the finish.
