The World Tinbath Championships is a unique event held in Middle Harbour in Castletown. Participants race around the harbour in strictly regulated tin baths, some of which may be less than seaworthy. Organised by the Castletown Real Ale Drinkers Society, this race has been taking place since 1971, with all the money raised going to local charities.
