Diesel & Electric Day invites visitors to embark on a journey that blends history with charm. Guests will meet the railway characters as they are taken for a ride by the Island's oldest Battery Electric locomotive, Polar Bear, the cheerful diesel locomotive Maltby, along with beloved veterans Dolphin and Walrus. Each ride offers a unique opportunity to travel behind these historic locomotives, sharing stories from the tracks and celebrating railway heritage.

All aboard for a journey powered by a little bit of history and a lot of charm ✨
Meet our wonderful railway characters as your train is hauled by the Island's oldest Battery Electric locomotive, Polar Bear, the cheerful "Hi-de-Hi" diesel locomotive Maltby, or our much-loved veterans Dolphin and Walrus, both proudly steaming (and rumbling!) along since 1952.
Each ride is a chance to travel behind these historic heroes, sharing stories from the tracks and bringing railway heritage to life for visitors of all ages. Best of all, there's no advance booking required — simply turn up, hop aboard, and let the adventure roll!
