Manx BirdLife – Bird Collage Workshop and Walk - 25th April, 2026

Manx BirdLife invites participants to a Bird Collage Workshop and Walk hosted by BTO Youth Rep Alex King and Manx BirdLife staff. The event begins with a walk around the Reserve, providing an opportunity to observe various birds, plants, and insects. Following the walk, attendees will engage in a two-hour art workshop in the Collister Hide, where they will use collage techniques to create artwork inspired by the nature encountered during the walk.


Details

For ages 16 to 25 years. Join host BTO Youth Rep Alex King and Manx BirdLife staff for a walk and collage workshop at the Manx BirdLife Point of Ayre National Reserve. The first hour of the event will consist of a walk around the Reserve, looking at the various birds, plants, and insects. This will be followed by a two-hour art workshop, using collage to create artwork of the birds and nature seen on the walk. This will take place in the Collister Hide overlooking the lagoon.

Car parking is available at the Reserve, the terrain is gently undulating sand, gravel and grass trails so walking shoes are recommended and it's not suitable for wheelchairs. Binoculars are available to borrow but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring water and a snack. No dogs allowed

For those reliant on public transport, group bookings can be made via the CONNECT bus service with pickup from Ramsey. Free. Booking essential – event will be listed @ Youth events and training | BTO
